Hyderabad, September 23 (Point of India | Crime Desk):
In a major breakthrough, the Mailardevpally police foiled a murder conspiracy and arrested three individuals — including a serving home guard — who had allegedly plotted to kill a local realtor.
The accused have been identified as Mohammed Imran (35), Mohammed Saif (21), and Nenavath Sriram (35), a home guard posted at Falaknuma police station. Police seized two knives, two motorbikes, and ₹10,000 cash from their possession.
According to investigators, Imran had ongoing financial and property disputes with his former business partner, Yaseen. Following multiple clashes, including an attack on Imran’s residence, he allegedly sought the help of an associate named Ibrahim to eliminate Yaseen.
Police revealed that Imran had promised ₹9 lakh as supari (contract money) and even paid an advance of ₹60,000. On Monday evening, while the gang was waiting to attack Yaseen near Nice Hotel in Vattepally Colony, police arrested Saif and Sriram.
Authorities further disclosed that the home guard, Sriram, assured the gang he would protect them from police action and even arrange for bail if they were caught.
While three suspects are now in custody, four others, including Ibrahim, remain absconding. Police have intensified their efforts to track them down and prevent any further attempts on Yaseen’s life.
This incident highlights the growing concern of law enforcement insiders colluding in criminal activities, raising questions about accountability within the force.
